Anna Karim was named investment director for fixed income at Federated Hermes, a spokeswoman said.
The role is new. Ms. Karim focuses on ensuring that the fixed-income offering is aligned with client needs and works closely with portfolio managers to develop new offerings. She reports to Mark Bruen, head of fixed income solutions.
"Anna's appointment reaffirms our commitment to creating product solutions in line with our client needs and reflects a growing demand for the asset class. Anna's knowledge of the fixed-income landscape will prove as a huge asset and we welcome her to the team," Andrew Jackson, head of fixed income at the international business of Federated Hermes, said in a news release.
Federated Hermes had $605.8 billion in assets under management as of March 31. The firm had $64.7 billion in fixed-income strategies as of March 31, while its international business had $4.1 billion.
Ms. Karim was a managing director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Details of her replacement could not be learned.
