Eddy Schipper will join Epoch Investment Partners' newly opened office in Australia, heading the New York-based firm's sales and client service efforts in Australia and New Zealand.
The position — managing director, client relations and business development, Australia and New Zealand — is a new one for the firm, which offers global and regional equity strategies with a focus on free cash flow.
Mr. Schipper was Nikko Asset Management's head of Australian distribution. He was replaced in that role in June by Rob Bluzmanis, who previously served as Nikko's head of wholesale sales.
GSFM Pty., Epoch's distribution partner in Australia, will continue to oversee retail distribution of the firm's funds, according to an Epoch news release.
A spokeswoman for Epoch couldn't immediately say in which city the firm's new office in Australia is based.
Epoch manages roughly A$3 billion ($2 billion) on behalf of retail and institutional investors based in Australia and New Zealand, said the news release, which put Epoch's global AUM at roughly $36.5 billion.
