Salman Haider was named chief distribution officer at Eastspring Investments, effective March 18.
Whether the role is newly created could not immediately be learned.
Eastspring, the asset management business of Prudential, has $216 billion assets under management.
Haider will report to Bill Maldonado, CEO and interim CIO of Eastspring, and will join their executive management committee.
"Salman will lead Eastspring's global distribution strategy, collaborate with distribution leaders across our markets and expand on our retail, institutional and life partnerships," Maldonado said in the release.
Haider was CEO of wealth management at Habib Bank AG Zurich.
