Joshua Schachter was named chief investment officer of the Easterly Snow team at Easterly Investment Partners.
He replaces Richard Snow, who originally founded value shop Snow Capital Management in 2001, a spokesperson said. Easterly Investment Partners made an equity investment in the firm in 2021 and its eight-person investment team joined Easterly at the time.
Snow will remain with the firm as a portfolio manager for its Easterly Snow Long/Short Opportunity and All Cap Value strategies, along with select private investment vehicles, a March 31 news release said. Schachter will retain his senior portfolio manager title.
As of June 30, Easterly Investment Partners had nearly $3 billion in assets under management.
