DWS Group promoted Vanessa Wang to head of Asia-Pacific, effective Apr. 1, the firm said in a statement on Thursday.
Ms. Wang replaces Holger Naumann, who will return to Frankfurt to take on other responsibilities in the company before retiring at the end of the year as part of a planned retirement, the statement wrote. Mr. Naumann has been in the role for four years and is based in Hong Kong.
Ms. Wang also retains her role as head of client coverage for APAC and will continue to be based in Hong Kong. She will report to Stefan Hoops, CEO of DWS.
She joined the firm in 2021 and previously led Amundi's institutional business for North Asia while based in Hong Kong, before moving to Boston to lead the institutional business for the U.S.
DWS has €821 billion ($873.8 billion) in assets under management.
