Ivy Ng was named chief investment officer for Asia-Pacific, and Vera Fehling was appointed CIO for Western Europe at DWS Group, the firm said in a statement Dec. 4.
Both promotions were effective immediately, the statement said.
Fehling's position is new, while Ng replaces Sean Taylor who was CIO for APAC until June, a spokesperson confirmed. Taylor was named CIO of emerging markets and Asia-focused investment management firm Matthews, which had $10 billion in AUM as of Oct. 31.
Ng has been with DWS since 2013 and was most recently a senior portfolio manager covering property markets in Asia ex-Japan while based in Hong Kong. She was previously an analyst with LaSalle Investment Management, has a background in financial journalism and has authored an economic book.
Fehling joined DWS in 2011 as a portfolio manager on the euro investment-grade credit team. She was most recently head of liability-driven investments at DWS in Frankfurt where she contributed to the development to the firm's solutions business.
Both will retain their previous positions in addition to their new duties, the spokesperson said.
DWS had €860 billion ($910.1 billion) in assets under management as of Sept. 30.
