John Tobin was named chief investment officer of Dreyfus Cash Investment Strategies.
He replaced Patricia Larkin, who is leaving at the end of March and is currently assisting Mr. Tobin during the transition.
He reports to Stephanie Pierce, CEO of ETF, index and cash investment strategies at BNY Mellon Investment Management, BNY Mellon spokeswoman Courtney Woolston said in an email.
Dreyfus Cash Investment Strategies manages money market strategies and is a division of BNY Mellon Investment Advisers, a subsidiary of BNY Mellon Investment Management.
Mr. Tobin was previously global head of liquidity portfolio management at J.P. Morgan Asset Management. J.P. Morgan spokesman Sam Wallman declined to comment.
Dreyfus Cash Investment Strategies had $259.5 billion in assets under management as of Dec. 31.
