Dominic Wong was appointed regional head of intermediary sales at Eastspring Investments based in Hong Kong, effective immediately, the firm said in a statement Aug. 23.
Eastspring is the $239 billion asset management business of U.K.-headquartered insurer Prudential, which focuses its business on Asian and African markets.
Wong is responsible for leading and growing Eastspring’s intermediary business in Asia and reports to Chief Distribution Officer Salman Haider.
He succeeds George Ferraz, the previous regional head of intermediary sales based in Singapore, who has left the company.
Wong was most recently head of intermediary distribution for Asia ex-Japan at BNY Mellon Investment Management, focused on Greater China and Southeast Asia. A BNY spokesperson did not immediately respond to queries about his replacement.
