Joel Kim, Dimensional Fund Advisors' head of international fixed income, will become CEO of the firm's Asia ex-Japan business in August.
Mr. Kim replaces Steve Clark, president of Dimensional International, who has overseen the firm's Asia ex-Japan business temporarily since Mr. Kim's predecessor, Peng Chen, left the firm in November, a Dimensional spokesman said. He will relocate to Singapore from London, taking on the additional roles of CEO and a director of the firm's Singapore subsidiary, Dimensional Fund Advisors Pte.
Mr. Kim, who will report to Mr. Clark, will also retain his role as head of international fixed income, the spokesman said.
Dimensional had $514 billion in assets under management as of June 30. The spokesman could not immediately say how much of that was managed on behalf of clients in the Asia ex-Japan region.
