Jim Wiant was named CEO of Capital Four U.S. and portfolio manager, responsible for establishing and leading the Danish credit manager's U.S. efforts, a spokeswoman confirmed.
The role is new, she added.
The Copenhagen-based firm runs €15 billion ($17.9 billion) in high-yield bonds, senior loans, structured credit, multiasset credit, and Nordic and Northern European private debt, a news release said.
"Jim's success in building and managing leading businesses in U.S. high yield and (collateralized loan obligations) complement Capital Four's established European leveraged finance and private debt businesses," Sandro Naf, CEO and co-founder, said in the release.
Mr. Wiant was a senior member of alternative credit firm MidOcean Credit Partners. Spokesmen for MidOcean Credit Partners could not be reached for comment.
