Denis Resovac was appointed head of insurance solution sales for Asia-Pacific at Aviva Investors, the firm said in a statement on August 19.
He started in the newly created role in August and leads the development of investment solutions for insurer clients across the region. He is based in Singapore and reports to Head of Asia-Pacific Richard Surrency.
The fund manager is looking to further expand its capabilities in Asia-Pacific and will continue to expand its institutional client capabilities in the region, Surrency said in the statement.
Aviva Investors has also been making senior hires in the global distribution team, including the appointment of Steven Gardner as head of institutional for Europe, the Middle East and Africa in May.
Resovac joins from Robeco, where he was head of insurance strategy for Asia Pacific and responsible for sourcing and distributing insurance investment solutions to life, general and reinsurers in the region. A Robeco spokesperson did not immediately respond to queries about his replacement.
Aviva Investors managed £227 billion ($289 billion) in assets under management as of Dec. 31.
