Jeroen Bos was named global head of sustainable investing at Credit Suisse Asset Management, effective Jan. 1, according to an employee memo shared with Pensions&Investments on Monday.
The position is new, a spokesman said. Mr. Bos will further build up the firm's sustainability capabilities to strengthen the firm's investment offerings globally, according to the memo.
Mr. Bos head of specialized equity and responsible investing at NN Investment Partners. An NN spokeswoman said there is currently no replacement for Mr. Bos. For the time being, Mr. Bos’ current direct reports will be directly reporting to the firm’s CIO Valentijn van Nieuwenhuijzen. This includes Paul Schofield, head of sustainable and impact equity; Maarten Geerdink, head of European equities; and Johan Govers, head of insurance equity.
Credit Suisse Asset Management had $487 billion in assets under management as of March 31.
