Shane Feeney was named managing director and global head of secondaries at private markets manager Northleaf Capital Partners.
The position is new, a spokesman said in an email. Based in Toronto, Mr. Feeney will report to Michael Flood, co-founder and managing director.
Mr. Feeney is currently senior managing director and global head of private equity at the C$497.2 billion ($408.8 billion) Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, Toronto. In a news release on the board's website, President and CEO John Graham said the board is conducting a "thorough assessment of potential candidates in accordance with its well-developed succession processes."
Northleaf Capital Partners has $16 billion in assets under management.
