Cindy Beaulieu was named chief investment officer of Conning North America, a spokeswoman confirmed Wednesday.
Ms. Beaulieu replaces Richard L. Sega, who was promoted to global chief investment strategist at the end of 2018.
Ms. Beaulieu will step into the role Sept. 30, which she will undertake in addition to her existing role as chairwoman of Conning's investment policy committee.
The spokeswoman for Conning said Ms. Beaulieu, who is also a managing director and has 29 years of industry experience, has been groomed for the North America CIO role over the past three years and has managed institutional assets for the firm's insurance and pension clients.
Conning had $201.4 billion in assets under management as of March 31.
