Nick Ring was named CEO, Europe, Middle East and Africa at Columbia Threadneedle Investments, a spokeswoman said.
Mr. Ring will replace Michelle Scrimgeour effective Sept. 23. Ms. Scrimgeour was named CEO of Legal & General Investment Management in February.
"I'm very confident that (Mr. Ring's) technical expertise combined with strong client-focus is the right combination to lead our EMEA business as we strive to strengthen our client relationships and value proposition," said Ted Truscott, global CEO, in a news release. "He is a strong people leader who understands and embraces the culture of our firm, and we are looking forward to working with him again."
Mr. Ring worked at Columbia Threadneedle before as global head of product, leaving in 2015 to join Jupiter Asset Management as global head of distribution. He was replaced by Phil Wagstaff, a Jupiter spokeswoman said.
