Greg Bottjer joined real assets and alternative income money manager Cohen & Steers as executive vice president and head of global product strategy and development.
The role is new, a spokeswoman confirmed.
"Greg's position is strategic and he will work with our leadership team to define the product strategy for our next phase of growth. We are committed to sustaining investment excellence as we create strategy extensions in real assets and alternative income, and develop innovative, investment-focused vehicles," Robert Steers, CEO, said in a news release.
Cohen & Steers specializes in liquid real assets including real estate, listed infrastructure and natural resource equities. The firm reported preliminary assets under management of $71.2 billion as of Oct. 31.
Mr. Bottjer was senior managing director and head of product management and development at Nuveen, the release said. Spokesmen at Nuveen could not immediately be reached for comment.
