Bradley R. Hicks joined CI Investments as senior vice president and head of institutional.
Mr. Hicks is based in Toronto and joined in May. He reports to Kurt MacAlpine, CEO of parent company CI Financial, Rebecca Caissie, a CI Investments spokeswoman, confirmed in an email.
Mr. Hicks assumed oversight of CI Investments' institutional investor marketing and client service in Canada and globally, replacing Jaime Ross.
Mr. Ross is president of CI Private Counsel, CI Investments' wealth management business, which previously included management of the firm's institutional clientele, Ms. Caissie said.
"CI has been serving institutional investors for over 20 years and these partnerships remain an important and valued part of our business. As we modernize our asset management operations, we are rolling out innovative products and services to help these clients meet their long-term investment objectives," Mr. MacAlpine said in a news release, noting that Mr. Hicks will "spearhead an expansion to global markets."
CI Investments managed C$166.3 billion ($119.4 billion) as of April 30.
Mr. Hicks was a managing director in the Toronto office of MFS Investments until October 2018, Daniel Flaherty, a company spokesman, said in an email. He did not respond to Pensions & Investments' request for information about Mr. Hicks' successor.
