Mickey Weatherston was named principal, head of sustainability and ESG integration at Nuveen subsidiary Churchill Asset Management.
It is a new position, a spokeswoman said in an email. Mr. Weatherston, who is based in New York, reports to Christopher Cox, chief risk officer.
Mr. Weatherston will provide strategic direction for ESG integration across Churchill's private equity, junior capital and senior lending strategies.
He was previously director of marketing and client services at credit specialist Muzinich & Co. A spokeswoman at that firm could not be immediately reached for further information.
Churchill has $37 billion in assets under management.
