Jason Barger was appointed managing director of client relations by multiasset manager Chilton Investment Co.
He joined the firm Dec. 14 and is responsible for "developing, advising and strengthening institutional client relationships," a company news release said Monday.
Mr. Barger is based in the firm's New York office and reports to Richard L. Chilton Jr., chairman, CEO and CIO for equities, and Jennifer L. Foster, executive vice president, co-CIO and portfolio manager for equities.
"I am confident that (Jason) will not only forge deep relationships with our clients and colleagues, but also help us reach our respective goals," Mr. Chilton said in the release.
Mr. Barger replaces Fernando De Oliveira, who left the firm, Chilton spokeswoman Kylie Spencer said in an email. Mr. De Oliveira could not be reached for information about his plans.
Mr. Barger was a partner at Kopernik Global Investors, where he co-led institutional marketing and client relations.
Kassim Gaffar, principal and head of Kopernik's distribution and client service unit, did not return a call seeking information about Mr. Barger's replacement.
Stamford, Conn.-based Chilton Investment Co. manages $1.8 billion.
