Curtis Johnson joined multistrategy credit investment management firm CFI Partners as head of institutional business development.
The position is new, a spokeswoman said in an email.
Based in New York, Mr. Johnson will "oversee a business development team dedicated to serving clients across the entire CFI Partners investment platform," a Monday news release said.
Mr. Johnson was most recently a managing director within Carlyle Group's investor relations team where was "responsible for developing and managing relationships with clients across the firm's private equity, real estate and infrastructure asset classes." Carlyle could not be immediately reached for further details.
CFI Partners had more than $6 billion in assets under management as of Dec. 31.
