Edwina Ho joined Cambridge Associates as a senior director in the Boston-based investment firm's newly opened Hong Kong office.
Hong Kong is Cambridge Associates' fourth office in the Asia-Pacific region, following Singapore, Beijing and Sydney, a spokesman for the firm said.
Ms. Ho joins the firm at a time when demand for Cambridge Associates' portfolio management services and global investment network continues to pick up in Hong Kong, mainland China, Singapore and Southeast Asia, Aaron Costello, Beijing-based regional head for Asia, said in a news release.
Demand is particularly keen in "alternatives, including private equity and venture capital investing, ESG and impact investing," Mr. Costello said.
The news release cited the new Hong Kong office as a sign of Cambridge Associates' commitment to accelerating business growth in Asia.
Ms. Ho was a Hong Kong-based investment director for Willis Towers Watson's investment business in Asia. Willis Towers Watson is in the process of hiring someone to replace Ms. Ho, a Singapore-based spokeswoman for Willis Towers Watson said.
In addition to Ms. Ho's hiring, Cambridge Associates announced that Mary Pang, the head of Cambridge Associates' global private client practice, has relocated to Singapore from San Francisco.
The news release said Cambridge Associates serves more than 230 high-net-worth individuals and family clients globally.
