Bryon Lake has joined Goldman Sachs Asset Management as a partner and chief transformation officer for the client solutions group within GSAM, a newly created position.
Lake will work with leadership across client channels to deliver advice, design portfolio solutions and extend GSAM’s suite of investment strategies to institutional investors and wealth management clients, said a July 22 release.
The client solutions group within GSAM is responsible for global client strategy, capital formation, strategic partners, product strategy and capital markets activities across the firm’s alternatives investments and public market investing teams.
Lake most recently served as global head of ETF solutions at J.P. Morgan Asset Management.
A spokesperson for JPMAM said Lake “informed us of his intention to leave the firm and we wish him well in future endeavors,” adding that JPMAM’s ETF business had $169 billion in AUM and 98 vehicles and declining to comment further.
GSAM oversaw more than $2.9 trillion in assets under supervision as of June 30.
