Brian Oravec was named chief investment officer of Asia-Pacific at Realterm, a transportation-focused global investment manager.
A spokesperson for Realterm confirmed this is a newly created position at the firm.
In this role, Singapore-based Oravec will “leverage his Asia expertise to help Realterm expand its business in the region and will work closely with the capital markets team on expanding key capital relationships in the Middle East, Europe and APAC regions along with new product development across the platform,” said a Nov. 15 news release.
For the past 17 years, Oravec served as the CEO of IndoSpace, an India-based developer and owner of industrial real estate. IndoSpace was co-founded by Realterm in 2007, according to IndoSpace’s website.
Oravec began at Realterm in 2005 and has served on the Realterm board for the past four years.
Realterm currently manages more than $11 billion in assets on behalf of global institutional investors.
Sharad Gohil confirmed that he took over as CEO of IndoSpace in July 2024.
A spokesperson for Realterm also confirmed that Oravec continues to be an owner of IndoSpace and serves on the IndoSpace board of directors and investment committees.
