Peter Hornick was named head of business development at Brevan Howard, a spokesman said.

Mr. Hornick, who joined this month, is based in New York and focuses on Brevan Howard Alpha Strategies U.S. He was previously global head of business development at Exodus Point Capital Management. A spokesman there could not be reached for comment about a replacement.
Brevan Howard also added Natalie Smith, who joined in August and was named head of strategy. The position is also new.
Based in New York, Ms. Smith focuses on clients in the area of of directional and relative value macro investing. She previously worked at Commonwealth Asset Management. Details of her replacement could not be learned.
Brevan Howard also added David Abbou as head of trading in July. The role is also new. Based in Geneva, he manages and develops the European portfolio management team in several strategies. Mr. Abbou previously worked at Bluecrest Capital Management. Details of his replacement could not be learned.

Brevan Howard had $10 billion in assets as of Aug. 31.
