Ognjen Sosa was named chief investment officer of Breckinridge Capital Advisors, a spokeswoman confirmed.
He replaces Laura Lake, who left the company in December.
Mr. Sosa will manage Breckinridge's investment process, oversee the development of its investment strategy, and ensure it is implemented throughout the company. He will also chair the firm's investment committee.
He will be based in Boston and report to Peter Coffin, president of Breckinridge.
Mr. Sosa was retirement income investment lead at Fidelity Investments. A Fidelity spokeswoman could not be immediately reached for additional information.
Breckinridge Capital Advisors had $45 billion in assets under management as of March 31.
