Geoff Yu was named senior EMEA market strategist at BNY Mellon's markets business.
Whether the role is new could not immediately be learned.
Mr. Yu is primary market strategist in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, providing clients with insight and analysis into market developments, a news release said.
The markets unit helps clients to access capital, financing and liquidity, providing foreign exchange, securities finance, collateral management and other services.
Based in London, Mr. Yu reports to Daniel Tenengauzer, head of markets strategy.
Mr. Yu was U.K. chief investment officer at UBS Wealth Management.
