Priyo Santoso joined BNP Paribas Asset Management in Jakarta as president director of the firm's Indonesian arm, PT. BNP Paribas Asset Management.
Mr. Santoso replaces Vivian Secakusuma. Ms. Secakusuma left to pursue other interests, said a BNP Paribas spokesman. She could not immediately be reached for comment.
Mr. Santoso reports to Ligia Torres, BNP Paribas Asset Management's CEO, Asia-Pacific.
The Indonesian office currently has roughly 27 trillion Indonesian rupiah ($1.7 billion) under management or advisement, the spokesman confirmed.
Mr. Santoso was chief investment officer/investment group head at insurance business PT. Asuransi Jiwa Generali Indonesia, said a BNP Paribas news release. A Generali spokesman could not immediately be reached for comment.
