Severine Piquet was appointed head of corporate credit research at BNP Paribas Asset Management, a spokesman confirmed.
Ms. Piquet replaced Barbara Cohen. Details on Ms. Cohen's new role could not be learned.
Ms. Piquet reports to Dominick DeAlto, CIO for global fixed income. She manages and oversees all corporate credit research functions for developed markets. She is also helping to transform BNP Paribas Asset Management's research process to make greater use of alternative data, artificial intelligence and automation.
"Corporate credit is a key part of BNPP AM's global fixed income offering and Severine's appointment reinforces our long-standing commitment to this critical input to the issuer selection process," Mr. DeAlto said in a news release. "Having spent more than two decades as an analyst, on both the sell-side and buy-side, covering equity and credit, Severine brings broad experience to the role."
Ms. Piquet is also a senior member of the firm's credit research team.
She was a senior investment analyst at the firm. Details on any replacement were not immediately available.
BNP Paribas Asset Management had €598 billion ($700 billion) in assets under management and advice as of Sept. 30.
