Stephen Chase was named managing principal and head of client capital at Blue Vista Capital Management, spokesman Alex Jeffrey confirmed.
The position is new.
Mr. Chase will oversee the real estate investment firm's fundraising activities and assist in the development of new investment strategies. He will be based in New York and report to Robert G. Byron and Peter Stelian, Blue Vista co-founders and co-CEOs.
Mr. Chase served as managing director of investor relations at AmCap. A spokesman from the company could not be immediately reached for additional information.
Blue Vista managed $4.5 billion in assets as of June 30.
