Devin Glenn was named managing director and global head of diversity, equity and inclusion at Blackstone Group.
It is a new position, a spokeswoman said in an email. Based in New York, Ms. Glenn reports to Paige Ross, Blackstone's global head of human resources.
Ms. Glenn will be responsible for continuing to implement current policies and initiatives for Blackstone and its portfolio companies to achieve a more diverse and inclusive workplace, a news release said Tuesday.
She was previously assistant director of diversity, equity and inclusion at law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.
Blackstone Group has $649 billion in assets under management.
