Ramzi Ramsey and Mike Kirkman have joined Blackstone as managing directors in the firm's growth equity and opportunistic investment businesses, according to a news release.
Both are new positions, Blackstone spokesman Matthew Anderson said in an email.
Mr. Ramsey will invest in enterprise software and financial technology businesses, while Mr. Kirkman will focus on the health-care sector. Both will be based in San Francisco.
Further information wasn't immediately available.
Before joining Blackstone, Mr. Ramsey was a partner at SoftBank's Vision Fund and Mr. Kirkman was a director at private equity firm GI Partners.
GI Partners spokesman Chris Tofalli could not immediately provide information on Mr. Kirkman's replacement.
