Tiffany Hsieh was appointed head of Taiwan at BlackRock, effective earlier this month, according to a statement Tuesday.
She is responsible for leading the business in Taiwan and helping clients to build resilient portfolios, the statement said.
Ms. Hsieh is originally from Taiwan and is based in Hong Kong. She will relocate to Taiwan in the summer, a spokeswoman said.
She replaces Amy Yen, who left the company at the end of last year for personal reasons, the spokeswoman said.
Ms. Hsieh joined the firm 14 years ago as head of iShares for Taiwan. She was most recently the head of China distribution and has played an important role in the buildout of the firm's China business since 2012, the statement said.
BlackRock had $8.59 trillion in assets under management as of Dec. 31.
