Raymond Chia joined BlackRock in Singapore as head of APAC corporate research and hybrid portfolio management, a spokeswoman for BlackRock confirmed Wednesday.
The role, combining portfolio management and research, is new.
A statement from BlackRock said Mr. Chia will work closely with BlackRock's Singapore-based Asian fixed income and credit teams to "generate alpha from Asian exposures in global portfolios for the global fundamental fixed income team."
Mr. Chia was head of credit research, Asia ex-Japan, at Schroders. Details on any replacement were not immediately available.
