Elaine Wu joined BlackRock in Hong Kong as the firm's Asia-Pacific head of research for BlackRock's sustainable investing unit, according to a company news release Monday.
The position is new.
Ms. Wu will oversee BlackRock's sustainability research across the Asia-Pacific region, reporting to Emily Woodland, head of BlackRock sustainable investing for APAC.
She comes to BlackRock from J.P. Morgan, where she served as head of Asia ex-Japan ESG and utilities equity research.
A spokesman for J.P. Morgan declined to comment.
