Daniel Kerbach was named chief investment officer and head of investment management at BayernInvest, spokesman Thomas Bundschuh confirmed in an email.
Effective Dec. 1, he will replace Arnd Sieben, who will be head of portfolio management within the firm's new multiasset and pensions division.
Mr. Kerbach will be responsible for investment management, implementation and expansion of environmental, social and governance strategies, and trading for all mandates. He will report to Alexander Mertz, speaker of the management board.
Mr. Kerbach was CIO and head of investment management at Merck Finck Privatbankiers. He was replaced by Robin Beugels, Mr. Kerbach's deputy, Merck Finck spokesman Claudius Nowak confirmed.
