Nicholas Mavro has joined Barings as managing director, head of global consultant relations.
Mavro replaces Nick Loglisci, who stepped down from that role in late 2024 to pursue other opportunities.
Mavro will be responsible for strengthening Baring’s relationships with investment consultants globally to drive the firm’s business development.
Mavro comes to Barings from Pictet Asset Management, where he served as head of U.S. institutional. Elizabeth Dillon, the CEO of Pictet's U.S. operations, said in an email Melissa Platner had been hired to replace Mavro as head of U.S. institutional with Pictet Asset Management (USA) Corp.
Based in Boston, Mavro reports to Graham Seagraves, head of North American institutional and consultant relations. As of Dec. 31, Barings was overseeing more than $421 billion in client assets, according to a Barings news release.
