Barings launched its Barings China A-share Private Securities Investment Fund No. 1, its first onshore private fund in China.
Registered with the Asset Management Association of China, the fund will be distributed to qualified investors in the country, according to a news release Tuesday.
The fund is managed by Nathan Jiang, investment manager of China A-share equities at Barings, operating out of the Shanghai office the money manager opened in October. Mr. Jiang joined the firm in April.
Barings has $335 billion in assets under management.
