Lyle Fitterer was named managing director, senior portfolio manager and co-leader of Baird Advisors' municipal strategies effective Aug. 6, a spokeswoman confirmed.
Mr. Fitterer will work alongside Duane McAllister, senior portfolio manager, currently the sole leader of the municipal strategies team.
Mr. Fitterer had been senior portfolio manager, co-head of global fixed income and head of the municipal fixed-income team at Wells Fargo Asset Management. He retired from the firm on July 1.
Jeffrey Weaver, a senior portfolio manager and head of the short duration fixed-income team and money market funds at WFAM, assumed Mr. Fitterer's leadership responsibilities as head of the municipal fixed-income team.
Andy Hunt, the co-head of WFAM global fixed income, remained in that role. WFAM spokeswoman Amy Hyland-Jones could not be immediately reached for further information on who, if anyone, replaced Mr. Fitterer alongside Mr. Hunt.
