Jeroen Bos was named global head of AXA Investment Managers equity, effective Nov. 1.
Mr. Bos will replace Mark Hargraves, who will join AustralianSuper, Melbourne, in October as head of international and private equity.
Mr. Bos will be based in London and report to Hans Stoter, global head of AXA IM core. He will be responsible for growing the investment, commercial and financial performance of AXA IM's equity platform, a news release said.
AXA IM has about €60 billion ($65.7 billion) in assets under management for its equity business, a spokeswoman said.
AXA IM has "strong ambitions to expand our equity franchise," particularly in thematics and strategies that are aligned with the sustainable development goals and ESG-integrated investment strategies, Mr. Stoter said in the release. As such, Mr. Bos' "breadth of knowledge of the equities markets and responsible investing will be instrumental to us," he added.
AXA IM has €840 billion in assets under management.
Mr. Bos was global head of sustainable investing at Credit Suisse Asset Management. UBS, which announced it was acquiring CSAM parent company Credit Suisse Group in March, also said that month that Lucy Thomas had been appointed as head of sustainable investing for the combined UBS Asset Management organization.
