Marie Luchet was appointed head of ESG and sustainability at AXA IM Prime, AXA Investment Managers' private markets and hedge funds platform, a spokeswoman confirmed.
The role is new.
Ms. Luchet oversees AXA IM Prime's sustainability strategy, including ESG integration in investment decision-making, funds, reporting and strategy design.
Based in Paris, she reports to Pascal Christory, CEO of AXA IM Prime.
"Marie brings more than two decades of experience in sustainable finance and corporate social responsibility, and she will be instrumental in continuing to develop our sustainability strategy, as well as championing ESG across the business as it is a pivotal lever for AXA IM Prime's value generation and innovation for the benefit of our clients," Mr. Christory said in a news release Tuesday.
AXA IM Prime has €30 billion ($33 billion) in assets under management.
Ms. Luchet was managing director, head of ESG U.K. and Europe at financial services consultant ACA Group.
