Fraser Lundie will join Aviva Investors as global head of fixed income, in a role that brings together the firm's fixed-income businesses.
Lundie is expected to start in August and the position is new, a spokesperson said.
Based in London, Lundie will report to Daniel McHugh, chief investment officer, and will be responsible for the global rates, investment grade, high yield, emerging markets debt and global liquidity teams.
“Providing fixed-income investment solutions to our clients is core to our business, so I am very pleased to strengthen this further by welcoming Fraser to Aviva Investors," McHugh said in a news release. "Fraser has a very deep wealth of experience across all asset classes within the fixed-income universe and a deep understanding of delivering sustainable solutions. I am confident he will make a very positive contribution to the business as we endeavor to deliver strong performance and solutions for our clients.”
Aviva Investors had £227 billion ($289 billion) in assets under management as of Dec. 31. Fixed-income AUM was not available.
Lundie was head of fixed income, public markets at Federated Hermes. He joined Hermes in 2010 as head of credit.
A person familiar with the situation said Mitch Reznick, head of sustainable fixed income, who also joined the firm in 2010, will lead the team.
