Aviva Investors partnered with business development consultancy House of Reach to expand its presence in the Nordic markets.
The consultancy, which covers Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Iceland and is headquartered in Stockholm, will support Aviva Investors' institutional sales teams as it continues to expand its business in the region with both liquid and illiquid strategies.
The firm has total Nordics assets under management of £238 million ($274 million). Nigel Cosgrove, head of global strategic relationships, said in an email that Aviva is discussing its approach with House of Reach, "but would expect to mutually agree objectives we believe we can achieve in partnership over the years to come."
Mr. Cosgrove will lead the relationship, with Torben Dunkel, head of institutional client solutions, DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland), leading on business opportunities that are generated by the partnership.
Aviva has a similar partnership with Capital Strategies Partners, which since 2020 has supported the firm's distribution capabilities to clients in Brazil, Portugal, Spain, Uruguay and other markets. That partnership has "expanded our distribution reach and given us access to local specialists with a high level of cultural understanding in the markets in which they operate," Mr. Cosgrove said in the email.
House of Reach comprises 15 senior industry experts, including former CEOs, CIOs and distribution heads in the region.
