Ed Dixon was named head of environmental, social and governance, real assets, at Aviva Investors, spokeswoman Eve Kirmatzis confirmed in an email Monday.
The position is new. Mr. Dixon will oversee the firm's ESG strategy within its £45 billion ($56 billion) real assets business, which includes real estate, infrastructure and private debt. He will be based in London and report to Melanie Collett, head of asset management, real estate.
Mr. Dixon was director of sustainability insights at Landsec. A representative from Landsec could not be immediately reached for comment.
Aviva had £346 billion in assets under management as of June 30.
