Andy Seed was named head of defined contribution solutions at Aviva Investors, a spokesman said.
The position is new. Mr. Seed develops Aviva Investors' offering in the defined contribution savings market. He reports to Al Denholm, CIO, solutions.
"Andy has a great deal of experience in the U.K. retirement industry and an extensive knowledge of the DC market. He will play a key role as we continue to bring together expertise from across the group and expand our presence in the market," Mr. Denholm said in a news release Monday.
Aviva Investors' DC assets were not available. The firm has a total £346 billion ($433.6 billion) in assets under management.
Mr. Seed spent the last 12 months advising Aviva as a consultant, the firm said in the release. Mr. Seed left Scottish Widows as head of distribution in 2019.
Details of his replacement were not available.
