Johnny Conklin joined private equity firm Atlantic Street Capital in the new position of partner, leading deal sourcing and business development, spokesman Chris Tofalli said in an email.
"He is a highly valuable addition to the firm's senior leadership team and ... is charged with building the best investment sourcing team in the middle market to complement our growth vision for Atlantic Street Capital," said Andy Wilkins, Atlantic Street's co-CEO in a news release.
Mr. Conklin is based in Charlotte, N.C., and reports to co-CEOs Peter Shabecoff and Andy Wilkins, and Whit Williams, chief operating officer.
Mr. Conklin was a managing director at middle-market mergers and acquisitions advisory firm BlackArch Partners.
