Gary Collins will join money manager acquisition firm AssetCo as head of distribution, a spokeswoman confirmed.
The role is new and Mr. Collins joins in July.
The firm recently announced the acquisition of Saracen Fund Managers in an almost $4 million deal. The acquisition, set to complete by the end of September, will also bring a Financial Conduct Authority license to AssetCo.
London-based Mr. Collins "will play a key role in developing the overall business," Peter McKellar, deputy chairman and CEO, said in a news release. "He brings a wealth of experience and expertise, with a track record of working closely with clients and delivering results."
The immediate focus for the firm is to develop Saracen's distribution strategy, growing its client base and expanding the products over time, Mr. McKellar added.
Mr. Collins was interim head of distribution and head of wholesale for Europe, Middle East and Africa at Columbia Threadneedle Investments. He left last year.
Michaela Collet Jackson was named head of distribution EMEA in January, according to a news release.
