Jason Gottlieb, currently managing director and president of Artisan Partners, will become chief executive officer, succeeding managing director Eric Colson, who will assume the role of executive chair, effective June 4.
At that time, Gottlieb will also be elected to the board of directors, and Colson will also become the board chair, succeeding Stephanie DiMarco, who will become lead independent director, said a news release March 4.
A spokesperson confirmed that Gottlieb will continue as president once he becomes CEO.
Gottlieb joined Artisan Partners in October 2016 and became president in January 2021.
Artisan had $168.4 billion in assets under management as of Jan. 31.
