Joel Holsinger joined Ares Management Corp. as a partner and co-head of alternative credit, a new position, spokesman Bill Mendel said in an email.
Mr. Holsinger works alongside Keith Ashton, a partner and co-head of alternative credit. Ares' alternative credit strategy invests in specialty assets, real assets and financial assets in North America and Europe.
Mr. Holsinger was a partner at Fortress Investment Group. Gordon Runte, managing director at Fortress could not be immediately reached for information about Mr. Holsinger's replacement at Fortress investment Group.
