Kevin Alexander, an Ares Management Corp. partner has been promoted to co-head of the firm’s $43.1 billion alternative credit portfolio, a new position, said Brigid Kelley, an Ares spokesperson.
Alexander will serve alongside current Co-heads Keith Ashton, a partner and portfolio manager and Joel Holsinger, both partners and portfolio managers. Ares executives added a third co-head given the expansion of the team and strategy, Kelley said.
Formerly, Alexander was a partner in the Ares alternative credit strategy.
Ares had $463.8 billion in total assets under management including $335.3 billion of AUM in credit which was the firm’s largest business as of Sept. 30.
