Howard Perlow, co-founder of Angeles Investments, a multiasset investment firm and outsourced chief investment officer, has been named as its first chief executive officer.
In addition, Angeles has appointed David Brief as head of OCIO, a newly created role, said a Wednesday news release.
Mr. Perlow co-founded the firm with Michael Rosen, Angeles' chief investment officer, in 2001 and has "spent the last several years developing Angeles' infrastructure and talent to competitively position the firm in the rapidly evolving OCIO landscape," the release noted.
Mr. Perlow's former title was co-founder and managing partner, but going forward his title will be solely chief executive officer, said a spokeswoman by email.
Mr. Brief joined Angeles five years ago and has 32 years of investment experience. He will also retain his title of partner, the spokeswoman added.
Based in Santa Monica, Calif., Angeles has approximately $6 billion in discretionary assets and $32 billion in advisory assets.
